For months I’ve been telling anyone who’ll listen that there’s a genuinely elite Twitter account for football out there.
It’s an anonymous account. He hints at working inside the game as a scout. His knowledge and lingo suggest he’s worked across Europe and possibly with some of the world’s top clubs.
It’s also possible that he’s just a student of the game masquerading as something else. Someone who goes by the same call sign was commenting on a FIFA 17 forum as recently as November 2016. His profile picture is a Manchester City badge.
But for me, it doesn’t matter. He’s got amazing knowledge and doesn’t suffer fools.
He’s called out John Cross at the Daily Mirror. The accusation is that Cross took one of his tweets from 4th December as an idea for an article. Here’s the tweet:
Dele Alli’s one of the most productive U21 midfielders in PL history. Reckon he’s Spurs’ next £50m player, not Kane.

And here’s Cross’ article, dated 7th December: Tottenham’s Dele Alli a £50million summer transfer target for French giants PSG.
He’s also called out Liam Canning, a sports writer for Yahoo Sport:
I sincerely hope you have a backup plan to the football writer gig. You’re commenting on subjects you know very little about. https://t.co/qBzTldDyiU

And he’s taken down Australian blogger Adam Joseph for allegedly nabbing one of his tweets and claiming it as his own.
You have one hour to delete this or I’ll make sure you never have a credible career in sports journalism. Clock starts now. https://t.co/hPfVEBREHG

This is combative. It’s also refreshing.
There’s a clear difference in quality between armchair punditry and those who work within the game. You can follow a hoaxing media, or you can follow someone with real insight. Or both. Compare and contrast. Your call.
But if you’re serious about expanding your knowledge and appreciation of the game, I recommend giving him a follow.
If they’re good enough, they’re old enough, as they say.
To persuade you, here are 14 of @registability’s best tweets, according to me.
Enjoy.
Shocking to see Arsenal fans say Alexis > Özil. Nearly every good thing Sanchez has done is the result of Özil’s passing/movement.

Imagine Mkhitaryan sitting next to Lingard on a flight to Azerbaijan. One of them speaks 6 languages and the other communicates via dab.

United signed Pogba. If your club had the same resources and ambition, they would have done the same thing. Shut up or admit your jealousy.

Knew I was obsessed with football when my science prof showed me this image of an atom and all I could see was Lahm’s role in 2013. pic.twitter.com/AFxyImbmXp

Currently attending a Halloween party and no one has correctly identified my costume (Baggio 1994 post-penalty). Not surprised tbh.

I wonder how many people just watched a full Pogba performance for the first time and realised he’s not a Vine player. Humbled.

Most wingbacks in a 343 tend to bomb up and down the line. Moses penetrates inside at times which has confused every opponent he’s faced.

Can’t wait for the white supremecist football media to attack Iwobi for “lacking respect” and “demonstrating immaturity”.

Seeing Arsenal fans post fancy 3-5-2, 3-4-3, 3-4-2-1 improvisations. You have Wenger, not one of the new breed. It’ll be 4-2-3-1 with Jenko.

Mobile RG: the mind of a typical RG, but with the ball skills of a technical CM. The next tactical innovation in midfield roles (3-5yrs).

Conte’s greatest strength is his ability to teach automatisms. He simplifies the game for his players so they can play without looking.

Haha notice how Mike Dean doesn’t play advantage for City when Navas gets the ball. Superb football knowledge.

UPDATE 03/01/2017:
Registability has published his list of world class players. Highlighted in green are ‘elite’.
